WELCOME!

Thanks for visiting my humble rest stop here on the information super-highway.  You are, most likely, one with an interest in choral music.  Me too!  Among the hats I wear are those of Music Director at La Mesa Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Companion Musician for the community of Casa del Sol,  founder and Director of the [mostly] a cappella men's ensemble, de Profundis, and difficult boy-choir parent.

Inhabiting these intersecting roles has given me the opportunity to do a fair amount of composing.  I have pieces for mixed choir, men's choir, and treble choir published (or forthcoming) in the catalogs of Boosey and Hawkes, Alfred Publishing, Augsburg Fortress, Santa Barbara Music Publishing, Kjos MusicChandler Music, Transcontinental Music Publishing, Colla Voce Music, and Alliance Music

While this website references the commercially-available titles (which you can order directly from the publishers or through your favorite music supply house),  my hope is that you will also take a look at those I publish myself.  Many were written for special occasions or for specific liturgical purposes and may fill a niche in your repertoire.  For some really fresh congregational music, take a look at the work I have done in collaboration with John Philip Newell for the burgeoning spirituality center of Casa del Sol.

To view the catalogs, click on the voicing that interests you.  The list that comes up is alphabetical by title and provides a short description of the piece, the cost to purchase, a link to view the score, and in some cases a minute or so of a performance (most of them live) in MP3 format.  If you do find something you would like to perform with your choir, it’s a snap to order directly from me, though until I get PayPal figured out, we'll just use old-fashioned email.  Of course you are always welcome to contact me for more information on a piece.

I also invite you to take a look at the music-making opportunities afforded by the retreat center Ghost Ranch in northern New Mexico, where I am gratefully involved as a composer and teacher  The ranch has been not only a wellspring of inspiration for countless artists and musicians but is truly one of the greatest places on earth for a family vacation.

Finally, you'll find information here on my services as a vocalist and voice teacher, which are in fact the hats I have worn the longest.

HAPPY BROWSING!
